PROFILE
1977 : Born in Kochi
The most important thing in my work is "shape". I am trying to paint in such a way that people who see my work understand what it is in two seconds.
Next comes "obscurity." By pursuing "obscurity", which contradicts to "shape", I want to make my works comprehensive but complicated. I cherish my private life because it will appear in my work. I value interests in art and artists outside of contemporary art. I think that interest in others is important as well.
People often ask me "Why Fufufu~nbu"?
I started Fufufu~nbu when I was 25 or 26, as a group activity with 6 other members which more or less broke up after one month.
I just leave it as it is until 2006 when I changed my name to Fufufu~nbu Shinichi.
The name suits me. I feel very comfortable with it. I am still learning but I want to create interesting works.
