1979 : Born in 1979
2005 : Graduated from Tama Art University
2007 : Graduated from Tama Art University Graduate School
One day, I was standing in middle of jostling crowd at the scramble crossing in downtown Tokyo. I was waiting the traffic light to turn green so was everyone around me when a strange thought struck me, "we are at the same place, same time and thinking about the same thing but do we really see the same scenery?" Even now, I still don't know why I thought such a thing. First of all, I was not there to enjoy the scenery but to cross the street. All of sudden, that busy crowded place and the scenery I recognized became so unrealistic.
Nobody can become another person because all of us have own personal history and memory, which is what each of us are made of. The existence of oneself may be uncertain because the world recognized by me is guaranteed only by me. We live in such obscurity of what we think, we see and we feel.
All characters in my works are people at the crossing in busy downtown Tokyo, waiting for something in the jostle of crowd. The cloud in the sky is a symbol of our thought which is always shifting and the vague future in our imagination. The theme is "Wavering things in our life".
