Aiko Yokota Exhibition: When the scent travels in the distance
Gallery Trinity will have the solo exhibition of Aiko Yokota, "When the scent travels in the distance" from Aug. 31 to Sep. 11. Her works have unique warmth which heals the heart of many people. It makes you feel like you are wrapped with gentle light, which is felt like a fresh breeze sometime. She paints "distance" that floats here and there. For example, the scenery the artist is looking at the moment and the scent that travels from the scenery to where she actually exists. Or, the artist finds the "loose" time when she comes home in her tight schedule. Please imagine her lifestyle. Here's the message from the artist; "I want to express pale gentle light that leads me to the inside of myself. I am attracted to the appearance of nature which has that kind of tenderness. I face with a canvas because I want to get close to that tenderness.
